The Trend of Artificial Spirituality

The Trend of Artificial Spirituality

Spirituality serves as a bridge into a world for those who have intelligent questions about the origins of existence, God, and Earth—questions religion, science, or history fail to answer. The explanations can also be considered an unsatisfactory conclusion to the Seeker. Recently, I have seen a lot of people denounce spirituality as hedonistic, satanic, anti-Christ, and insist upon connecting psychic ability, channeling, energy healing, and all other mystical (meaning unexplainable) things to “evil” and darkness. It comes off as crass, ungrounded, untested, and illogical. It is an augmented and fractured way of thinking, to believe that things innate and inherent to us are demonic. And to also believe that things unexplainable, like the ability to see the future, feel energy, etc. is demonic. It is like the unexplainable is linked to the devil.

And I would like to say, the devil is not the only unexplainable thing about existence. That is not the only energy in the cosmos. It is not the only energy to be connected to. I came to spirituality seeking God, only seeking the truth, wisdom, and a higher level of understanding about existence. I wanted initiation into the mysteries.

And the reason why I left my religion… I left because I had questions, so many questions, unanswered and like a drone or an automaton, I would have a scripture repeated back to me. But never any original thoughts or conclusions, especially to very specific questions. I would hear prayers said, observe bodies having hands being laid upon, shouting, and bellowing from the pulpit, but no real progress in thought. The intellect, the logos, remained dulled. And this stagnation showed not only in their thought processes, but in the church itself, the progress in the church folks lives, and the visible decline in the church over the years.

And I want to say, I am not saying we abandon God for progress in thought. Rather, we should reconsider our approach to Him and strive to update our thinking, as we evolve, both inwardly and outwardly. We have access to more information than ever before, like alternative history, science, math, religion, and also the New Age. All of this fundamentally changes religion. Abstract thinking also changes religion. And if you cannot ask a question, something is wrong.

The New Age capitalizes on the idea that there is something unexplainable about existence. Of course, religion strives to explain this. In fact, much of the New Age relies on old information found in ancient religions. However, what makes the New Age unique is that it teaches an internal connection; the Big Three teach external connection and thus, separation from the Creator. New Age also teaches that there are some things that are unexplainable about existence; that you have more control than what you believe. It creates a more abstract interpretation, one not bound by much dogma.

In my opinion, all religion (that teach separation from the Creator) can be poison and many religions capitalize on this separation AGAIN, by recognizing someone as outside of that particular religion, like how our skin divides us, and how our political beliefs divide us, and how our social beliefs divide us, and how our economic status divides us. In my opinion, most religions, especially the mainstream ones, are inherently divisive.

This poses issue, not only Biblically, but logically as well. The reasons should be obvious. There can never be a sense of cohesion because the idea of separation is what religion imposes, simply by following it.

And as for psychic ability, in the Bible, God does endow souls with the gift of prophecy, although there are many false prophets (Ezekiel 13 provides an example of this.)

We must strive to update our belief systems, as new phenomena emerge, both in personal arenas and across the globe (like the Pentagon releasing info around UFO sightings.)

I want to leave you with this:

When you seek the truth, it is the only thing you can find. The path is always illuminated for those who want to know the truth about existence. It means using all tools available and then some, to find adequate answers. And knowing that foundations built on falsehood are bound to fall away. A seeker charges towards the summit and will not settle for less. They know they may have to change and adapt; they are flexible and strive to make stiff parts malleable. They know that darkness exists and how to overcome this.

They strive for progress in thought and action.

Another truth is that if you are not sharpening your intellect, if you are not developing your ego, if you are not developing discernment, if you are not testing your psychic abilities, of course you will fall into false light paradigms.

Initiation is a process; it is an art, a skill, a study,  that takes years and years of assisted practice, with a mentor or guru and eventually, with the true Light of God as the Seeker’s guide.

Spirituality was never about feeling good, manifesting, divine feminine/masculine, crystals, tarot (although tarot was my bridge into spirituality), or anything else that seems catchy and fast paced.

It was never about the constantly rehashed concepts, the glamour, sensationalism, Full Moons, following your bliss, or anything inherently hedonistic.

It has always been about seeking God. It has always been about finding Yeshua. It has always been about purity, righteousness, holiness, discipline, humbleness, piety, cleanliness, and serving God. It was and is about finding Truth, because the Self has intelligent questions, unanswerable by mainstream religion.

It is about helping others and spreading love.

It is about developing the logical mind, as well as psychic abilities.

It serves as a way to explore the Logos and Ethos, while casting a wider net to discern the deeper truths of existence.

It is about precision, balance, and integrity. It takes discipline, change, and adherence to righteousness, not only outlined in the Bible, but in other Holy Texts and also the Self’s ability to evolve past religion, while still keeping religion’s moral underpinnings as a foundation.

A Seeker understands and integrates the wisdom found in the old way and yearns to carve a new way. And even in this, they seek only God’s heart, in the first place.

Superficial spirituality is the trend but it was never that way for the Seeker.
